Burger Planet releases a fresh look and new healthy menu
Gary, Ind.- Burger Planet is proud to announce the addition of bestselling author, president and CEO of Looking Glass, Inc., and fitness guru, Jayne Petersen to the Burger Planet family. Ms. Petersen joins the Burger Planet team in a time of health innovation. "Burger Planet has been a leader in the Quick Service Restaurant industry in offering healthy menu choices. The company believes in encouraging customers to live healthier, active lifestyles and I have spent my life trying to teach women that lesson," said Ms. Petersen.
An improved menu has been introduced in conjunction with Ms. Petersen's endorsement. Focusing on providing healthy options, the menu has added chicken breasts with a lettuce wrap option, a line of gourmet salads and multiple fruit choices (apples, grapes, peaches, pineapple and bananas). A national health awareness campaign, hosted by Ms. Petersen and Burger Planet mascot Corny the Clown, will begin May 12, 2008, the location will be Times Square, New York, New York. The campaign will cross the nation with stops in shopping malls and Burger Planet franchises. These events will provide a way for patrons to visualize the modern, healthier version of the fast food industry.
Burger Planet CEO, James E. Muellenbach III, said, "I want our customers to realize that Burger Planet is committed to offering healthy choices on its menu. The hiring of Jayne Petersen fits perfectly in the company's overall focus on healthy lifestyles." The recent success of Opal Whitcomb on Ms. Petersen's weight loss program is a success that can and will be duplicated in the lives of normal Americans.
Founded in an Indianapolis shack in 1934, Burger Planet has grown into the world's largest fast-food restaurant chain. Burger Planet has served over 52 billion customers in 8,921 franchises located in 17 countries.
The new horizon of fast-food has arrived and Burger Planet is the standard bearer. If you would like to write an article about the Jayne Petersen endorsment or our new health oriented menu, please feel free to contact me.

Bravo Lee. I liked your lead. It catches your attention. Good job!
Good job writing the press release. i thought it was very well done. cheers. adam
I would try a shorter lead, try to keep it under 35 words. Also instead of calling it "fast food" refer to it as a "quick service restaurant". overall excellent press release.
WOW! Great! I agree with Katie, split up your lead. The article is famously written!
Good job, I think you did a really job in presenting the paper and think that your lead really does catch peoples attention.
